General Rules For Round Robin And Championship Round Games
Round Robin Play
Each game will be sixty minutes long, using the converts attempts regulation to break a tie.
A winner must be declared in each game. Again, if tied after regulation time of sixty (60) minutes, the tie will be broken according to Regulation 5.3 - Convert attempts - of the Rule Book, and the winning team will be awarded one additional point scored. Defaulted games will be scored 1-0 for the non-defaulting team. The opponents will automatically be relegated to last place in the pool.
Following the results of all the games in the Round Robin Tournaments. The teams will be ranked first place to last place in their respective pools based on the number of wins and loses. If teams are tied in total wins, the difference between the total points scored minus the total points allowed, amongst the tied teams, will determine the ranking. If two teams are still tied, the game between those two teams will determine the ranking. If all three teams are tied, after the “plus-minus” formula, the rankings will be determined by the most points scored amongst the tied teams. If two teams are still tied, the game between those two teams will determine the ranking.
Championship Elimination Rounds
In each division of play, teams will advance to the championship elimination round as indicated on their respective divisions’ tournament draw sheet.
Each game will be sixty minutes long, using the convert attempts regulations to break a tie, except the championship games (games 89, 92, 93, 94 95 and 96).
The championship games will be eighty (80) minute regulation games. Overtime, if necessary, will be a full 20 minute game (not sudden death) as per Rule 5 of the Rule Book; there will be a five minute rest period before the game, unless both teams agree to shorten the rest period. If no winner is declared after the full 20 minutes, the tie will be broken according to Regulation 5.3 - Convert Attempts - of the Rule Book.
