CoachesMain CoachesNew NCCP Competencies
The purpose of the Football Canada Certification Program is to provide football coaches with an opportunity to receive formal training in the art and science of coaching. Football Canada’s 3M NCCP have been organized and developed into four (4) coaching levels from Community Coach (novice coach) to Competition Development (elite coach) and includes three components: Theoretical, Technical and Practical. A coach becomes Certified when he / she successfully completes all three components of a coaching level. His / her certification will be recognized with the issuance of a 3M NCCP Passport booklet from the Coaching Association of Canada online. Ask The ExpertsTackle Football - Offense, Defense & Special Teams National Coaching Certification ProgramIntroduction When it was originally developed the NCCP was designed around five “levels” of certification. Levels 1 to 3 were for coaches working with community, club and high school athletes. Level 4 and 5 were designed for coaches working with high performance athletes and for those interested in a career in coaching. The NCCP is currently undergoing a transition to a competency-based approach, in which a coach is trained and may achieve certification to coach a specific type of participant in a particular coaching environment. As of January 1, 2013 Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 (Old NCCP) are no longer offered and Community Coach, Introduction to Competition, and Competition Development will replace the old courses. They will now include technical and theory components in their sessions. AFCA Coaching

Information and Past Recipients Over the years, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club and Football Saskatchewan have encouraged and supported amateur football development in the Province. Part of the encouragement has included recognition awards for those people who have contributed their time and talents to amateur football. Because of their contribution to promoting and developing football in Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club and Football Saskatchewan have been pleased to recognize these individuals each year during half time at one of the Saskatchewan Roughrider home games.
